5.0 out of 5 stars Compares perfectly with the original!
Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2020

My son and I play a LOT of XBox 260. :) But we've been fighting over who gets the black controller b/c the second one we have is a lame white. So I got this one assuming the color would make up for what would probably be a cheap knockoff. What I got was absolutely perfect! The weight, the feel, the size, the feedback, and the sticks, trigger, and buttons are exactly the same as the original one that came with the console! In fact, the lack of an "X" on the center button is the only way to tell them apart. So now my son and I just grab whichever one is closest and generally can't even tell who has the original and who has the new one! If, like me, you'r not planning on investing $400 in a new console, this is a fantastic way of keeping of keeping your 360 happy for years to come!

Well, this is the 6h controller I have bought from Amazon and I was actually reluctant to go a 6th time buying one of these copycat controllers BUT this manufacturer specifically addressed the issue in their marketing I had with all of my previous controllers in that the sticks or buttons did not work right from the box! So I had a few promo bucks and said ok 1 more time, So far so good, it's been 30 days with no issues, I did have a synch issue a couple of times with the wireless but a simple hold down of the synch button on the front resolved that.

They feel kind of light and cheap but work really well. They’re advertised as being able to wirelessly pair with Xbox, but mine didn’t work unless I plugged the receivers right in. I’ve used them for Xbox and PC and was happy with both. Just wish they were a little heavier. I had two and didn’t have any problems using two at the same time with their separate receivers.

Sure it is light, plasticky and the bottom L buttons don't feel all that great, but the joysticks don't develop stick drift in under a month, like the expensive ones, and when they do, you've already beat on them for a year or two and it isn't that expensive to replace them. Def a must buy for the budget oriented gamer, who actually plays games.

Updating Sept 2, 2022 with a final note. The controller is constantly disconnecting even more if that's even possible. I can't get through a single 2-3 minute level in a game without it shutting off on me 3+ times in that short span. It's also behaving as if a stick or button is stuck yet they are not however the character on screen is all over the place showing something is clearly being done with a control somewhere. Again, avoid this, don't buy it. Save your money. I'm about to throw it out the window next time it disconnects on me. I'm done with this garbage. Shame on the maker, shame on the seller and shame on Amazon for allowing junk like this to be sold on their site.

I purchased this April of 2021 so I did wait to write my review of this and tried to give it time. Right out of the box it was garbage. There is a big jagged piece of plastic that tore my hand to pieces right off that had to be filed down. After that was dealt with both sticks have MASSIVE dead zones to the point it is completely unplayable in anything that needs any kind of precision at all. The buttons (especially A and X) are far too "clicky" and the A button sticks often. The LT and RT triggers are very wobbly and clearly incredibly cheaply made and the RB and LB feel loose and sometimes don't even register the presses.

The controller constantly is shutting itself off completely at random even in the middle of trying to play. It just flat out shuts off, usually right after a feeling of weight in the controller shifting. My only thoughts are the batteries however they fit so tight they are a fight to get in and out of the pack so I don't know how they could possibly shift around for whatever it is I keep feeling it do. To add to the batteries this controller flat drains my expensive rechargeable name brand batteries. I have 2 different kinds, but they both drain from a completely full charge in less than 1 hour on this controller, where the name brand Microsoft controllers work for a good 30 hours on those exact same batteries with a full charge. I instead use Duracell for this controller and those still drain far faster than they ever do in any other controller I've ever owned across multiple brands of console (Xbox, Playstation, Wii and even Gamecube). They last maybe 10 hours before they are fully drained where normally a Duracell lasts a good long while.

This controller is incredibly cheap feeling, poorly made and is absolute garbage. The only thing I can even remotely use it for is a game like Rayman Legends/Origins or something similar that doesn't need any kind of precision in the slightest bit and uses as few buttons as possible and even then it constantly shuts itself off or buttons stick or don't register at all.

Save your money and find something else. Look locally at a game store and buy a used name brand Xbox controller instead if you can. Usually the owners will let you feel them over and you can see if they are decent used or not before you buy. I'd pay the extra for used if I knew it was decent over ever buying from this company again.

Also, upon opening the box there was a paper trying to get me to leave a 5 star review for their product in return for a free product. Clearly against Amazon's TOS last time I checked? Well, here's your late review but you will never get a 5 star for me for this piece of junk. Anybody who does still purchase one of these, make sure you check over the controller first before your hands get sliced to pieces on jagged plastic as well!

Editing because I forgot another very important issue! Not only does the controller turn off randomly far too often, it rarely wants to even turn on to begin with. The light doesn't even flicker when you hold for Xbox button for a few seconds. I then have to take the batteries out and put them right back in and guess what, there it goes. There's no reason why it won't work the first time, same working batteries, same battery pack, etc. But I always have to remove the batteries and put them back in to get the controller to turn on in the first place. Also since Amazon likes to just randomly group reviews together anymore this was for the Black Xbox 360 Wireless controller. Again, avoid this junk and find something better!

I was so excited to get this controller after getting into emulators on my pc. Arrived on time & worked very immediately upon plug in to the usb in pc. Some minor breaking in with button stiffness and I think this is a solid purchase. All the other reviews indicate they will replace controllers with any kind of manufacturer defect and seller offered a 1 year warranty to me. I think I’ll buy a second one so my partner and I can play co op games!

I bought this because it was cheap and had a lot of decent reviews. On my xbox360 (the old white one), I couldn't get it to sync. Once I put batteries in the controller the green led flashes. It was only until I came here and saw somebody say to use the USB dongle that came with it that things worked. Once I plugged the USB dongle in, the controller started working with the xbox. Once that worked, I had to figure out that there's no power for the controller. Just letting it sit there for a few minutes gets it to turn off.

There seems to be a little lag with the controller but don't know if it's the controller or just me not used to it. It feels different than the microsoft one. But for a quarter of the price, I'll deal with it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Solid reconstruction of the original, but flawed analog control

Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on August 30, 2022

These controllers seem to work perfectly with my Xbox 360. The physical build is quite solid, and the buttons all have a good feel to them. The exception is the D-pad, which is pretty bad and inaccurate. This is what the original D-pad on the Xbox 360 controllers are like, so that's actually replicated accurately too.

I've been using this controller regularly for several hours of gaming, and haven't had a single problem with the joysticks or with the connection.

EDIT TO REVIEW:

After using this controller for a few weeks, I had to change my review to two stars. Unfortunately, the analog sticks are quite terrible, and do not give the same type of fine-grained control as those of other game controllers. This isn't a problem for navigating menus, or playing certain "arcade style" games, but it makes racing games or shooters with aiming almost unplayable.

Consider that if you are looking to buy one of these for your Xbox 360. I am still quite impressed by the solid construction and firm feel of the controller. I have not once had a connection issue. I'm just disappointed that the analog sticks are of such poor quality. This product could have been so good.

2.0 out of 5 stars Feels solid, but analog sticks are not analog.

Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on November 22, 2020

While the controller feels good and solid enough, and it did sync and work with my x360, the first game I played to test it highlighted a big flaw. The analog sticks aren't 100% analog, it's like they're 8 directions, but weirdly when spending time fiddling with tiny zones between the 8 directions, I could get some analog response, but it's unworkable in the end. It'll work as a replacement to control the console and play retro games that don't require precision, but that's it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks fine, works great. Good bang for the buck.

Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on July 18, 2022

I bought 3 of these when they were 60% off on Prime Day. The build feels pretty sturdy and knocking on it doesn't feel like cheap plastic. Their weight feels pretty decent in your hands once you add the batteries in. Not too heavy but also not awkwardly light.

I haven't had any issues with dead zones or slow response rates. I mostly use them to play casual co-op games like Overcooked or private Rocket League lobbies with friends/family.

Setup is easy on PC. Connect the dongle to your PC. PC wireless display to TV. Steam Big Picture. EZ PZ.

Obviously get something higher-end if you want to play competitively or FPS. But for regular gaming these work great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome third party controller

Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on November 9, 2021

I've bought Voyee products before, my last one was the wired Xbox controller which I still have but I wanted to upgrade to a wireless. This one comes with the dongle to connect to PC you might need to restart your pc after installing the driver for it to work. Again A+ product very close to the original and weight is similar very good built quality.

Note: it's doesn't have the headset/keyboard connection at the bottom instead it's a blank plate with made in china written on it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Controller had some issues

Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on November 14, 2020

I have 2 original Xbox 360 controllers, one of them broke and I bought this as a replacement. This controller looks and feels pretty identical to the original, maybe it has a bit less weight but it’s hardly noticeable. Unfortunately I had some issues with it and will be returning.

I got brand new batteries for the controller but it would not turn on. I replaced the battery pack in the controller with the pack from the original controller, and that did the trick. Once I booted it up, I immediately noticed something was really off - there is a pretty sizeable dead zone in the right analog stick... which unfortunately makes a lot of games unplayable. I still have an original working controller and the difference is just night and day. Plus, (for other people,) I shouldn’t need to have an original battery pack to get the controller working. Maybe I just had an unlucky experience but this one is a no for me.
